Wow! Yup, I'd be careful then.
My bet is that they are not going to take the astronomical amt of time to put all the old prescriptions in the database but from now on all of them will go in.
Would love to find out more about this. For example is this database just monitored by the feds? Is it available to all pharmacists so that when they punch your name in, your prescription history is shown?
I'm not quite sure I believe it is that extensive due to the HIIPA (are those the letters?) privacy act. That's being taken very seriously where I live. Went to the doc the other day and they gave me the pamphlet on it and had me sign a statement that I received it. Also had to list who was allowed to know about my medical information. Can they leave a message when they call? If so, with who?
I just can't believe that the feds would be knocking at your door if your name was flagged because you used a back up last month. I know you aren't saying that. Just wondering exactly how this works.
