It's already happening in my state.

About six weeks ago I went to the pharmacy to fill a scrip for chloral hydrate syrup, which is C-III. The pharmacist asked me for either my driver's license or social security number and I just kind of looked dumbly at him. He knows me, he's been my regular pharmacist for five years! But he said that the state now requires every scheduled prescription to include a DL or SSN.

Kinda makes me feel like a criminal.
