Re: Davis and Waxman Introduce 'Ryan Haight Act'

bankshot, i am so relieved! i was almost afraid to view this thread again. i was half-expecting to get flamed left and right for my (what probably seemed to many like a) cold-hearted outlook of this situation. i'm really not an insensitive person, quite the opposite, in fact... i don't know... maybe i'm just too tired of paying for the mistakes of others to have much sympathy anymore... seems like after a tragedy, people start coming up with all these excuses for it and not placing the blame where it truly lies, and i don't like it. like if i found out that poor adolph hitler had a troubled childhood it still wouldn't change my opinion of him.

kandi, ahh, i always smile when you mention your son! he's going to make some nice girl real lucky someday, esp. with a cool mil like you. and i respect your sympathy for ryan's family. it's just that, in this particular case, i am unable to share your commiseration. your compassion for humanity is highly commendable. i wouldn't have it any other way.

cheers, angel
