I was just thinking about that my pharmacy is so lax that they don't care who picks up a prescription for what. I've thought about doing what you did but don't think I could ever bring myself to do that just because it is guaranteed the heat will be on you when whoever comes in to fill their script. In your case, I would definatly bring the girl who gave you the script down. Other than that, not much else I can tell you as I'm not qualified as an attorney or anything. You DO need legal advise. Please keep us updated on how things go. As for my case, it was strage--when I posed this question, everyone who responded online didn't like the idea and everyone I asked offline thought there would be no problem. I wasn't going to lie, if they called the doc and said it was no good, I didn't think I could really get in trouble because the script came from the doc. If they asked if it was old, I would say yes. If they asked why I didn't go to the doc again, I would tell them truthfully that I couldn't afford it. And if it came to it, some doc would verify my need for the meds in the first place! I didn't modify it so I figured I could talk my way out of whatever I needed to. I do have a refill and I plan to get it filled, but I won't do this again. Why--because it's not likely I will ever be in the same situation. I don't have health insurance so I'd never get a script from a docal doc anyway. Thanks to all for you opinions and conerns |
