I have had this disquieting thought too, especially when we try to reassure new members that they are due their records. This whole OP thing is not in its infancy by now, and that is why one needs to go in and ask for one's records without thoughts of using them for ordering...believe me, it works for your facial expression.
Many doctors are out there to help people but many are out there for the respect and the income.
That is what our society is built around, so I can not find them fiendish for these goals...I do get frustrated when I know that this is a "I write the prescriptions and I say what you can have" situation. We will have to find a way that placates everybody.
