Re: I was arrested for ordering by mail

I am curious why we are all so quick to believe the best when it comes to new OP's that almost anyone post's then the mob mentality is such that when someone warns us of an arrest or legal intervention we go crazy trying to discredit the person? pfree is not the first poster to report this in the last 6 months. I disagree with those that think the Patriot Act doesn't apply to domestic mail. The act is intentionally vague and yes while there is no specific wording about domestic mail the law is all about abandoning or disregarding civil liberties for the next 5 years in the name of protection from terrorism. US mail first class and priority are subject to protection under the 4th amendment but the Patriot act is all about circumventing the 4th amendment. Lets face it mail contents can be easily observed without actually opening the package once it is determined to be suspicious the bar for getting a warrant has been substantially reduced with the Patriot act. It seems lately with the mind set in Washington that loop holes no longer work when the ends justify the means. Take care. Billylll
