Ellen, I second your notion of this being a great thread that gave out a lot of good information about what and what not to do. But you do raise a good point, and I'm wondering about this, myself, now. An old coworker of mine used to have one of those Daily Pill Reminder carriers, which I'm sure that most of us have seen. They're those plastic containers with the little latches on them for each day Sunday through Saturday. She was on various medications for her arthritis condition, so instead of lugging all the bottles around with her, she used to just put however many pills she was supposed to take during the day in the pill carrier. I don't know if any of those meds were controlled or not, never asked, but say if you were to put your pills in one of those and got pulled over? I guess it would be the same thing as what Ellen is asking about, it doesn't matter if you have the prescriptions or not, if they're on your posession without proof of prescription, they could haul you off to jail if it's a controlled substance. So much for saving room in your purse!! Man, is LE making it harder and harder for people who take pain or anxiety medications. But that was a good question Ellen, sure made me think. Eeyore |
