Boy there is alot of hate on the boards these days, just ignore it.
My wife is a CFNP and there is a database that does keep track of controlled substances a Dr. prescribes. However, it does not give details about the patient.
I personally am in Insurance and it is the insurance companies that keep the large databases of information. They know every prescription you fill, as long as you use there coverage, who wrote the script, and where it was filled.
Maybe your Dr just did some digging, and found out on his/her own. Just speculation talk now. Hope it works out for ya!!!
