Re: How can LE tell if you are DUI on pain meds?

purpoptart,

Thank you very much for the get well wishes for my friend. He's also my friend as well as the guy who was driving the vehicle, so I was pretty upset when I got the news about the accident. And like I said earlier, another friend of mine was involved in a car accident a week before this happened, so between this accident and hers, I've been a nervous wreck lately worrying about everyone & their car accidents.

I am very sorry to hear about your husband. Car accidents can be devastating, and I thank God that none of my friends were that severely hurt in their recent accidents. Incidentally, the back condition that I suffer with is from a car accident that I was in about 5 & a half years ago now, (I was rear ended at 45mph by an SUV when I was driving a smaller size sedan) and my condition is degenerative.

Looking back on things and knowing that I'm going to have problems from this for the rest of my life, I really regret not suing the person who hit me, but at the time my symptoms went away in a little over a week and didn't know that they would come back later on. The statute of limitations has ran out on that accident now, so there isn't a darn thing I can do about it now, but if I could go back in time, I definitely would have sued the person who hit me because of all the problems I'm dealing with now. I guess it's one of those things that fall under the "hindsight is 20/20" category.

Take care,

Eeyore
