Every body be carful in this regards. ALL states have a law called OPerating while impared this means if the LE sees you weaving or doing other things that would indidicate you are impared you can get a ticket. it then would fall on you to prove you were not impared. here in WI some one got operating while impared from benydryl. the med bottles usually state "caution while driveing or using machinery" you can and will be pulled over if you show signs of imparement. if you say "no i have not had anything to drink" the next question they will ask you if you are on medications or drugs. they can and will make you take a field test. and they can MAKE you take a blood test if they think it is from meds or drugs. I did blood testing for LE when I worked at the hospital. the trouble comes when you go to court to say "judge I am not impared I have a tolerance to the med" it can get very stickey and the only way out of it is with a lawyer. BE CAREFULL AND dont lie (if they dont ask dont tell)they will find out anyway and the DA could use the lying against you when you do go to court operating impared is a law and is used johng |
