The only question I have on this issue is on the prescription bottles, it always says something like, Use Caution when driving or operateing heavy machinery UNTIL YOU KNOW HOW THIS MEDICATION WILL AFFECT YOU. Well, if you have been taking something for years, and you know how it will affect you and you can drive perfectly fine, can you still be arrested for DUI? Say the cop finds a bottle of oxy 80's, morphine, or something very strong? This may seem to the cop like a medication that you can't possibly drive on, but you have been on it for years, have a tolerance and can drive just fine. This is something I have thought about alot.
I am always afraid to carry my meds on me, in the proper prescription bottles of course because I just don't know what LE would do. Do they take into consideration that you are on something daily for cronic problems? What if you have multiple bottles (different drugs) from diff. op's with diff. doctors names on them? I think these are important questions because they could mean getting arrested for something you don't even know youre doing is wrong and you are not even impaired.
Like BillyL said, don't refuse a test. I know in my state you will just be arrested and they will get it out of you one way or another. Plus I believe it's an automatic suspension of your liscense like he said.
