I know how you feel at times. I am always a little nervous about driving even though the side effects are minimal for me at this point. I almost stop driving when I started my medication. I was concerned that I could actually hurt some one as I felt quite impaired. This is the last thing I want to do. I would take the medication when I got to work and then when I got home. This increased the time I was in agony but I felt better about commuting to work. I guess the best way to answer this question would be to speak with an attorney. I think you need to know the specific statute in your state. 1. Are you required to take a field sobriety test. If not refuse it. They will video tape this and use this against you in court if necessary. 2. Let them arrest you for suspicion of intoxication. 3. Say absolutely nothing to them and request an attorney immediately. I believe that once you specifically ask for an attorney they can no longer ask you any questions. They may try and act buddy buddy to you but they are out to get you and believe me they are not interested in helping you one iota. They want to nail you and that's that. Definately do not sign anything they want you to. They can threaten you that you have to sign something but refuse until you discuss with your attorney as you want your attorney to explain you rights to you. 4. If the statute allows you to choose the type of test. Like choosing between breathalizer, urine, or blood. Of course, choose the breathalizer. 5. It is really their problem if the statute does not allow them to choose the test method they use to determine if you are intoxicated. Look out for your self. 6. They may try and tell you that you have to take a blood test. But, if this is not in the statute nothing forbids them from lying about your ability to choose to get what they want. 7. If you get take the breathalyzer, tough Best if kept off the board for them if you blow a 0.00. They will sure try to bully you to take another type of test. F**k em. Just aks for an attorney again. Thanks for this thread. I am going to discreetly ask an acquaintance of mine about the statute. You never know. You could get stopped for something like a tail light out and not irratic driving and your pupils appear odd. |
