Re: No brainer on why health costs skyrockected

I find it ridiculous that proper healthcare is very near unattainalbe for average person in this country and is so for many reasons.

Here is my latest experience.

I had several procedures done all in one surgery in 7/04 due to severe pain. The issue was resolved but ever since this surgery I was experiencing a whole new constant sharp pain in abdomen. During this time I relocated to a city far away. Knowing no one at the time I was lucky enough to fall into the hands of some very good DR's that went every route to get to the source of the matter. I ended up with a very good surgeon who went in and removed a medical instrument that was left behind from the 7/04 procedures. Now I am 99 percent pain free.

Here is my dilema. Everyone I know is screamin "SUE HIM" My stand point is that I am sure this dr did not do this on purpose, with healthcare issues where they are today due to people abusing the system I hate to contribute to this huge problem. In the state I was located in for first surgery 80 percent of the type of dr I had have quit in the last ten years due to unaffordable malpractice insurance.

What do I do? I am unsure. I mean I was in horrible pain for the better part of three months. I think maybe I would be okay with ust having all resulting medical bills paid. I would love to hear from some of the great minds here on this board.
