I believe it's the Pharmacy which is "cross-referencing".
If you walk in to your local pharmacy with a script from a 2nd Dr. for the same med, the same thing would happen.
I think the 2 OPs you mentioned use the same pharmacy.
This is why you see posts asking "What pharmacy does rxyz use?" IMO
