i have to agree with lablady here.... why do you think we need a board like this? personally, it has been a blessing for me. why do you think suicide is a very real and serious option for many of us? we wouldn't be here if we were receiving adequate care. if i found a compassionate doctor who wasn't afraid of going to jail, losing his/her license, etc. i wouldn't need to be here. if i hit the lottery, perhaps i'd be able to find a private doctor who feels this way. until then, i don't really have much of a choice. most of us here are in the same situation, unfortunately, and until this problem of under-treatment (or even, in many cases, utter lack of treatment) is remedied, countless numbers of us are asking ourselves, "is living in this kind of pain really worth it?" honestly, i have weighed my options. order from an op or kill myself eventually, because i can't stand it? i choose the former. if you can think of any other options for me, or for any of us, please don't hesisitate to inform us. i will always take new advice into consideration. thank you.
