The pharmacist asked me for either my driver's license or social security number and I just kind of looked dumbly at him. He knows me, he's been my regular pharmacist for five years! But he said that the state now requires every scheduled prescription to include a DL or SSN.
Kinda makes me feel like a criminal.

That is so true! The last time I used my regular local pharmacy to refill my Xanax script, they not only asked to see my driver's license, the Pharmacy Technician actually ASKED me why I seemed so nervous. Well, duh...maybe because I have anxiety disorder and needed my medication???
The thing that really burned me up was the fact that once I got home and counted them, there were 5 missing from the bottle. I should have gone back there and asked HER why there 5 pills missing from the bottle and observed her behavior. I'll bet money on the fact that she was the one shorting my scripts, because every time I refilled there, there would always be between 2 to 4 missing from the bottle. Seriously, the nerve of some people!!
