I remember during the Iran hostage affair, using a redbox to call into Iran repeatedly, until we find a number that someone answers - this is harder than it sounds, because to call directly from the USA into Iran requires a LOT of "quarters" and ACTS doesn't carry you all the way there, you have to actually play the tones for a live operator, so you have to be just random enough - most of you probably know what I mean.

Anyway we figured there are only a few lines between the USA and Iran, and there is no doubt both governments were monitoring them, so we would call in from a payphone and on getting an answer, say something like "Our plan is working perfectly, my brother - we will overthrow your Shaw before the month's end! Praise Jesus!"
