I remember one post where Drone, a total guru chemist, was describing some complex situation involving LSD on the Advanced Methods board - it was like reading Latin, it was so obscure - then someone jumped into the middle of it and said "LSD actually comes from a fungus, you know - and it is also in Hawaiian Rosewood Seeds!" Oh my goddess, just the sudden contrast of trying to understand this brilliant man's description of whatever it was, and suddenly seeing that post. It was like suddenly going from Dennis Miller to Richard Pryor, only even more so. I almost had to get stitches from falling over backward laughing, but it was just so unexpected.
