I'm wondering if the two are un-related? Remember, certified mail is quite common in business. Hopefully someone else here has had a similar circumstance and can further help? I use to freak out about signing/not-signing certifed mail. I received one the other day, sender unknown. Little did I know, the mail courier couldn't make out the return address (smeared by water/ink-jet printer). It was an ex-employer notifying me about COBRA benefits. No biggie as I threw it away.
