In my (admittedly limited) personal experience, the answer is No. Last week I was returning from Europe and cleared immigration at JFK. While I was waiting for my checked bags two officers with a trained dog came around, and the dog went crazy for my carry on bag, as if it contained a pound of marijuana or something really interesting. I got pulled aside into an examination room and my bag was searched. What the dog was reacting to, it turned out, was a bottle containing Cephlexen antibiotic capsules, which I was taking to treat a lingering skin infection. I had a script bottle with several hydro tabs (Watson 10/325) in my pocket, and the dogs completely ignored it. Interesting. |
