Our founding fathers did not run and look at what they overcame. With the introduction of the Harrison Act of 1914 people said the world was ending because one could no longer buy Opium via mail or at their drug store. We have come a LONG way since then. Nothing worth having is easy. The main problem is that people say "boy this law stinks, I quit" and the rest of us are stuck in the trenches fighting for it.Let your elected officials know that if they vote for control of pain treatment, you and everyone you know will send their behind packing. Do it with a vote and money. The vote may not mean as much as it used to, but the money does. If half the OP's took 2% of their profits into lobbying???? If everyone on this board sent $1.00 to a REAL activist group EVERY month then we could get changes in the laws. It takes time, but the system works for those willing to fight for it. Or, we can be like the French- roll over for Hitler and say thank you sir may I have another until someone better and stronger than us rescues us. You want to give up, move to France where there good at it! I will now shutup and wait for the hate mail from my sister in Paris... |
