Of course, I know you aren't suggesting though, that we shouldn't be posting our opinions on the vailidity of this thread though, right? Because, I mean, what you are saying in your post is that the rest of us need to find more constructive ways to use our time or, that we need to simply ignore something we don't agree with, yet, *You* have done the exact same thing with your post that you are criticizing others for. This *is* the place for people to post on the legality of and issues surrounding the rights of American citizens to recieve health care over the internet. We are supposed to either report, question, support, share and respond with our opinions and experiences regarding this matter here. IF you agree with the possibility that this posters experience actually took place, then you post it here. IF you don't think it is an actual event, you post it here. The most important part of this is that we exchange our opinions on these topics with each other with the hopes that we *all* might learn from each other. Sometimes you are the teacher, sometimes you are the student, but Always, the reason we come here is to share our opinions and experiences with each other. To hammer others for that is not only contrary to why these boards are here but also, a true waste of time, in my opinion. Of course, I am one of the many who post here who understand that *My* opinion is of no more or less value than anyone elses here, or anywhere else in America for that matter. Thank you for your opinion, I just don't happen to agree with your position this time. Maybe next time we can find a common ground. I also wanted to respond a little with floating another potential reason a person would BS one of these "I got busted" threads. I have a freind who was very concerned with his brothers drinking while we were in Spain. He (my friend) had recently turned his life over to following the guidlines of a certain religion and in doing so, had discovered that he and the rest of his friends and families were doing significant damage to ourselves and our souls by living a "destructive lifestyle". Of course, NONE of us would have more than a glass of wine at dinner or the after race party drink (read adult social party situation, nobody was falling down drunk) or three but, that was a once every two weeks at most occasion. My newly found religious friend told his brother, after finding religion, that there was a chemical in the liquor there (in spain) that causes hepatitus. (Spain has the highest amount of citizens with Hep A in europe or did at the time) He would beg his brother not to drink and how he could die and used the fact that I had gotten Hep a year earlier as the reason. He was one of us. He was a rational person. He was worried about his brother. He lied in order to try and "save" his brother from what he thought was a very dangerous mistake. The person who originally posted this also *could* have had an epiphany of concience and decided to "save" us all from our destructive ways by posting an erroneous "I got busted" thread. It *Is* possible that they were trying to help us by scaring us away from using IOPs. It *Is* possible that they were having a panic attack over recieving a seizure letter and decided to help us by over stating the facts of her situation in order to see what the rest of us thought about what Could happen to her If her situation where taken to its extreme. It is possible she was telling the truth also. To say that none of these situations are possible is as ignorant as saying that only one of them is. In other words, it is simply an opinion that you or I have based on our personal beliefs that we are stating and, since the facts cannot possibly be known in this situation all we can do is share what we think might have happened and let it go at that. In my opinion. |
