I too wonder what America is coming to. Here recently in Texas; it is now illegal to consume cough medicine and drive! I'm talking about OTC cough medicine. The news channels ran several stories about it back in November; where several motorist where written citations and some given DUI's for taking cough syrup, like Robitusin or Vick's! The motorist who agreed to be filmed were either sick with the flu and only taken the recommended dosage.
I hope you got your xanax refilled! I too know what it's like not to have one's meds.
I have to go to PT five days a week for an on the job injury. My rule is if I need to take the meds, before I leave home, I only leave one or two in the original prescription bottle. That way if I'm pulled over and they decide to take the meds away; (which is illegal), I still have all my reserves at home.
