What do you mean CHARGE YOU FOR POSSESSION????? She had a script bottle with her name address etc on it with the right meds inside. That also came from a pharmacy that filled that script from a LEGAL prescription from a DOCTOR licensed to write it. I live in the Peach State myself and the laws here are not like the ones in Nevada. Just because the phramacy was in another state it is not uncommon. A few insurance companies make you(or make it worth your while) to order ALL maintance meds that you take all the time from out of state mail pharmacies.
Anyhow I think if I were you I would talk to the arresting officers Sargent or who ever is over that precinet(sp) I would not mention the word OP just because of peoples opinions of that situation. I would just tell him what happened and if the subject comes up about the pharmacy being in another state, I would just say mail order scripts because it saves my insurance alot of money. I would tell him that you wanted to let him know what is going on. That they would be held liable if someone they arrested was to die or have problems because their meds were not given to them while they are held for whatever reason. That you wouldn't want something bad to happen to anyone because of this issue. But I would also let him know what has happened to you because your meds were not given to you and the remaining script was not returned. You may get results from talking to someone, and make it look like you are trying to help keep something bad from happening to other people that are detained by them without their meds.

PS This may not get your meds back but I think the arresting officer butt may be in a little trouble. It was said by Hoss in the above thread, We are not doing anything ILLEGAL!!!!!! by seeking the help we need with our problems with legimate OP'S.
