Gone blind by surgery

I am diabetic. I had 20/30 vision in one eye before surgery and 20/50 in other eye. Now they did surgery on my 20/30 eye to correct some distortion I had in my vision. After surgery I couldnt see a thing. The DR told me this is normal after this type of surgery. Well about 2 months later the Dr sent me to specialist. This specialist works in same building as Dr that has done surgery. Specialist says my optic nerve was severed. He believes that some kinda freak thing happened during surgery. Now I cant drive ,Its very hard for me to read. I cant see how many fingers someone is holding up 5 feet away. Now I did signed standard releases. Look my quality of life has gone down. My mate has to do a lot of things he normally wouldnt have to do.He has to take off time from work do all the shopping drive me around etc. It probably would be very technical to show any sort of error on DRs surgery and then maybe there was no error freaky things happen during surgery. I want to know ONLY FROM PEOPLE WITH EXPERIANCE. If they beleive I have a case. Now I would pay anything to get my sight back but I truly need the money because of my life changes.
