Re: FL begins MEDICARE prescription tracking database

I don't usually post on here but on this topic I have to say something. I receive medicare in another state and it is hard enough to get a doctor to prescribe you pain medication in the first place if you are in pain and never are you prescribed enough. The fact that they can track who gave you what infuriates me. If I go to the hospital and they give me ten vicoden obviously that is not going to help me for long; so if I go to a different doctor to get more pain medication the next day it might be a problem? And someone throw me in jail if I happen to get a toothache next month and need relief for that! I know that the examples I'm giving are not exactly the description of doctor shopping they are referring to but I believe it will come to this; it is hard enough to get any doctor around here to prescribe narcotics in the first place; give them any reason not to and they will jump at it; we already get treated like addicts now, this will just make it worse; this needs to be stopped now, somehow everyone must get together and stop this; for the amount of doctor shopping addicts, it is not worth it to take away the rights and privacy of some many people who are seriously in pain and doing nothing wrong; doctors and pharmacies seem to have no problem finding the doctor shoppers now, there is no need for this kind of insulting, invasive legislation!
