Re: New OP in R&D phase consider CII's

And just to clarify my post...when I spoke of "hoping the doc has lots of malpractice insurance" I really was just thinking about the MEDICAL implications of prescribing CII's online without a physical exam.. as an RN, I just don't think it's a good idea, and I don't believe any Physician who's any good, and practices ethically (read with the patient's best interest at heart) would do this!
I'm not all that sure about sched III's...either, but hey, it's already happinin isn't it.... malpractice would ONLY cover the malpractice lawsuits that arise from auntie em who gets Percocet but has orthostatic hypotension, takes her first dose, gets up for coffee and passes out, hitting her head on the counter edge, cutting her scalp and bleeding to death on the kitchen floor...as a nurse, I'm more concerned with the appropriateness of this from a medical standpoint than I am legally....I figure the legal component will take care of itself...and I'm not at all competent to speak to that end anyway...Billylll and Trampy are the legal minds here....SO, in addition to having great malpractice insurance, hope your friend ALSO has a good lawyer!
So...wait ya'll, let me get my fire extinguisher out..cuz I'm sure to take a flaming for saying I think it's medically inappropraite...
OK, GOT MY EXTINGUISHER OUT>>>FLAME ON
