Phlebomom- Im so sorry about this whole thing!! It looks like the pharmacy and the DEA were watching your PM doc, and targeting his patients. You just happend to do something that is kind of toeing the line and they busted you for it. Don't worry about them telling you you are a drug addict and need treatment. I would get a good lawyer and fight that. Probabtion is almost as bad as being in jail- and you could get marked as an addict forever when it isn't true. I don't understand how people who are trained in Law, not Medicine can get away with calling everyone who gets a drug-related charge an "addict". I would also get the PM doc involved and tell them what happened to you. IF he knew about the other script then the city shouldn't have a case. But in a legal system that can charge a man with domestic violence for a verbal argument with his girlfriend and force him to do 6 months in jail for it, nothing surprises me!! Your case is Best if kept off the board, just like the legal Best if kept off the board I am going through. My man, who has his faults but has never hit me, is in jail from a verbal argument we had one night. Sure it was loud and emotiional and I was crying- hell, so was he almost- but the police came and charged him with harassment because I was red and crying. They treated me like I was lying when I told them I wasn't hurt physically, and then wanted me to repeat the argument we had had verbatim. Well when I told him the circumstances of the evening and what was said during the fight, they pounced on one little detail and said it was a "threat" and may endanger my life!! They made him leave the home and then a no contact order was put on, despite my protestations. I guess Im not responsible enough to know who to love and live with, the state has to make that decision for me. I guess they don't care that a man loses his home and kids and his life because he yelled at his wife or girlfriend. I tried to get the no contact order lifted, but no one seemed to care. I ignored it, and that was a mistake I shouldn't have. The court found out that we were still together and threw him in jail on a felony!! He was threatened with 10 years in prision so he pleaded guilty to 6 months. All because he came home late and I got mad and we argued!! My God, my ex husband put my head thru a wall and didn't do a day of jail time. I guess trying to keep a family together is a crime, and the innocent have to suffer because we don't have the money to hire a real lawyer.

Sorry this is far off topic, but I have no love for the legal system right now. I think they are trying to screw you over like they did to us. If you can afford a lawyer, then get one and fight this. Im really wondering about the people who make these stupid laws!! They are more like rules that us "children" must follow, we are not responsible to manage our own lives. Thats is how I feel the law treats us- and some doctors. Sad things are happening to so many that are good, moral people. Mistakes are made and they have to pay so much. ITs sad and it makes me mad!!
