Re: Ordering meds and customs

I run an online book business and do TONS of shipping to international and domestic destinations. I mainly use Global Priority Mail. When a package got "lost in the mail," the only way to track it was by the tracking number. This is true for domestic shipments as well. As far as the USPS is concerned (unless shipped FedEx or UPS, or similar---and all packages from international origin that are shipped by the origin country's postal service are delivered, in turn, by the USPS) there would be no way to set up a "hit list" by name to watch for incoming shipments.

And I think this would also be true of FedEx and UPS. I'd very much like to see evidence if this is an incorrect assumption on my part.

I also wonder if people realize how few of the millions of pieces of mail are actually inspected by Customs each day. This should bring everyone at least a modicum of comfort!
