Opium poppies seeds are fairly easy to buy from a number of places. I know a few folks that have exotic plant greenhouses and the poppy flower is quite pretty. Now, extracting the "narcotic" ingredient from the poppy plant is no easy chore. I don't know anyone who grows exotic poppy plants that has ever even bothered trying to extract the "sap" from a poppy plant. It's a very difficult process much like tapping Maple trees for the sap. You would need a lot of poppy plants, then score the bulb(before it blooms) of the plant with a very sharp blade and then wait a few days to scrape the minute amount of sap seeping out of the poppy bulb. After that, unless you know how to refine this [censored]. all you have is big wads of gum to chew, which unfortunately, many, many poor workers that work these poppy fields are extremely addicted to. If there is a way to make a mild pain relieving tea out of poppy seeds, I've never heard of it or know how someone would do that.
