Of course opiates are derived from OPIUM poppies, and we all know about laudinum, etc., my point is / was that despite the opium poppies' current legal status as a decorative floral, it is a much different substance than hydro, codeine, or all other derivatives, as is opium itself. It's a combination of lots of addictive substances, and the side effects of using the opium poppy are much more severe than any pharmaceutical out there, bar none. Kava is bunk - numbs the throat and fills the tummy, but the rest of the effects are minimal, even if you buy the best stuff fresh from the islands. Granted, there's always someone who will drink 30 cups of anything for a buzz, and these folks are usually dumb enough to drive around afterwards. You can get a DUI in any state after drinking a bottle of robotussin, huffing paint thinner, eating 10 sudafed, or many OTC meds that are, by most modern standards, child's play (most of these meds aren't even in child proof containers and any kid can buy them anytime, anywhere) Kava, valerian, and most other herbals are pretty useless. Opium poppies? Well, that's just a weird item for an OP to be selling. What's next, NO2 whipits? ![]() |
