I am thinking that their merchant account has been seized along with everything else by the Spanish Government. Therefore, the bank with whom you hold your card with will be liable. They will ask questions such as "is this some thing that could have been confiscated by customs, medication, etc". I replied "oh never mind". This was 5 years ago. Been there, done that, my thought - don't.
