Re: Noticed a Seizure Epidemic?

We've won a battle without realizing it - hydro compounds are Schedule III and there was a mighty effort from some states and a few Senators to get it bumped to Schedule II, even when compounded, so we really ought to celebrate.

There ARE too many of us to ignore. At the very very least, we can expect that hydro with ibuprofen or APAP will NEVER become Schedule II, like anything containing oxycodone is. It makes hydro so much easier to prescribe than oxy, and I'd bet that putting oxy at Schedule II has been second-guessed once or twice!!!

So with tramadol not scheduled, hydro compounds staying at Schecule III, and the federal scheduling of Soma not going anywhere, we can afford to take a breather..... I don't mean to ask people to stop the fight, but in a bizarre way we have allies in the pharm industry to keep at least these three meds the way they are; and we can trust them to keep Congress silent about any changes.

Noah.
