Finally Opened Certified Letter From Customs

Well, I finally opened that certified letter I had in my drawer for a month that was mistakenly signed for by a friend. It was just a form letter telling what was seized and there were some attached papers to fill out if you wanted to contest the seizure or tell them to go ahead and dispose of it. I believe it also said that they will hold it for 30 days and if they don't hear from you, they are required to send 3 letters to inform you that they will dispose of the property. Can you imagine the amount of money they must spend every day for the tens of thousands certified letters mailed every day. I even read somewhere that a valid prescription from a U.S. doctor is not even valid if you try to get it fill in another country and they will seize that also. Is this mass amount of seizures happening to people ordering meds from U.S. OP's ?
