Sounds like the valium did it's thing. You did not mention if it was the 'Roche' Brand or another brand, yet it must have done it's thing.

Valium is the longest acting Benzodiazepine, so it is no surprise, that you felt crappy the next day. Actually, the valium, is still working, because it has not been eliminated from your body. Valium breaks down into other benzodiazepine's and that's why it has the longest 1/2 life, of ALL the benzodiazepine's.

Hopefully, you will not have to take 8 of them everyday, as was the case with the codiene.
