It's XR, extended release. Upjohn is the US brand manufacturer and is the best but since the introduction of a generic the brand price is ridiculous and OP prices are even worse. They are much better than the US prescibed generic. I compared my friends US prescribed generic to them after I received some and couldn't believe the difference. Just chew or break them up if you don't want extended release. Hope this helps.
