-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He understands my personal pain problem and the problem I had with docs so much that he reported two of my docs to the state license board and the board put these guys on probation (they cannot write a controlled substance for three years). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. 123: Can you please clarify this statement? Gotta get to the office this am but I shall try to recall (it's been three-four years). Once he said they can get any doc they want because they can always find incomplete records in their files for prescriptions for controlled substances. Did the DEA go looking after already knowing they were going o get this guy (due to my problem of not returning my emergency phone call, his refusal to prescribe more than 30 hydros/mth, or were there other problems this doc had (ie did he have a trail of hurting more patients than me?)? Maybe it was jsut the doc's nurse who messed up on the record keeping? They did not tell me everything except that they wanted me to testify against him and others who I had contact and fit the profile of not helping. I don't exactly know what they meant by 'helping' either. Sorry I can remember more or know more. If I do recall anything else I shall post it if the moderator and list members feel it is worth knowing. I feel a bit funny about taking our focus away for direct ways to help each other deal with pain and putting the spotlight on the DEA and all of what goes with it. My point I think has to do with our need to follow the laws about ordering (no double dipping etc) and whatever else that might be viewed with eyes used to monitor our activities. I mentioned my agent friend because it paints a picture of the policing authorities in a favorable light regarding our needs. Of course, I could be wrong and usually am. I probably have no business getting this deep into this when I am new to all of this and there are many people on this list who have forgotten more than I have ever learned. ![]() |
