LOL Dave! Actually,the older the switch,the quicker it would break,thus ending that 'whoopin'. Then there are the Fig tree switches,had the fuzzies on the branch,you'd be cleaning itchy stuff off your arms and legs til suppertime....ahh,the Persimmon tree switch,with its prickly bark.. Now that was one I avoided at all costs...I prefer the Pecan tree switch,has just the right flexibility not to sting too bad and after the 3rd or 4th whack it would graciously break. How about Grandmas shoes? When neighbors saw her shoes flying by the windows,they knew I had forgot my manners. The most embarrassing was going to Church after "forgetting your manners"..sitting there nonchalantly while the kids snickered at the size 6 high heel sticking out of your head(Ohh,Jeremiah forgot his manners) and the 'knowing nods' the elders would give Grandma. Sheesh..and kids think they have it hard THESE days?? ![]() J. |
