I understand your concern. Kinda dont want to say the wrong thing which may prevent your getting help. But you know what?
In the medical field,especially those who specialize,they have something like a sense about people called "the ring of truth".
I guess over all the years,they develop this and can tell fairly quickly if a patient is being dishonest or holding back vital information. Not good. My opinion,from seeing many professionals,is tell the truth. It may help you more than you realize right now.
