Are you serious about Neurontin causing endometrial cancer??
Oh my God!! I am really going to research this drug in more detail. I took in for about 3 days and stopped because I thought I was going to die when I took it. I know this is off topic by a mile, but I had to reply. I am appalled that docs are using (overusing IMO) this drug for pain when it is apparently untested and unlabeled. It sounds like a drug that should be only used for severe cases of seizures, when it is necessary that the patient take it. Sorry- I'll stop ranting now. It just scares me to take meds like that. Especailly since it made me so sick.

My mother is an OB/GYN and noticed this trend in her patients being treated with nuerontin. I was on nuerontin myself for a few weeks (psychiatrist) and bled CONSTANTLY, UNSTOPPABLY for two weeks straight. Let me note that I was anorexic at the time and had not menstruated for several months, nor did I for several months following discontinuation.
The best person to contact about neurontin and endometrial cancer is your OB/GYN
I know so many women are hesitant to see their OB/GYN in the first place, but this extremely important if you are on neurontin. Like the ultram/seizure issue, your doctor may not be aware of this. I do not know whether my mother reported her findings; I pressed her to do so. All I know is her empirical experience and my own. Sorry for the graphics, but there is NOTHING short of miscarrage (sp) or endometrial changes that could have caused a sever anorexic to bleed that way. Please, just make sure that you tell your OB/GYN that you are aware of this trend and that you are on this drug. GYN's tend to be a little bit better about not having a gender bias
