Re: High Alert - meanings from talking to local PO

If you haven't noticed from people's responses in threads, mail *has already been* backed up. Normal delivery times have increased from (an example) 2 weeks to 3 or 4 weeks instead and thats express international, where about 14 days is the most you would expect. i suspect they won't do much scanning state to state except irradiation and x-rays on packages, but from anything coming from customs i think they are going to be much more liberal in opening packages, especially from places near iraq (ie. the pharmacies in India come to mind, and Bulgaria pharmacy), i think perhaps the s. african pharmacies would be the safest, but they are expensive.

the orange alert was just updated today to "orange-plus" which isn't really on the alert list, but it's meant to indicate that this is more serious than our previous 3 orange alerts.

if i ever do an order and this war drags out and code orange persists for a long time i will order from a US OP and pay extra, i'd rather pay extra and have greatly increased chances of it getting here than buying it cheaply, and having it not get here sadly.

best of luck for those of you still ordering, i'd be curious to know how many packages get through with noticable tampering. i've only ever had one package (from india) that was cut open and then resealed with a different color tape (they didn't even bother to make it look untampered with). left the meds alone as it was only effexor xr.
