I'm also on a small, fixed income, due to injuries and medical problems. There are many times that I go without my basic maintenance meds because there simply isn't money for them. I'm tired of supporting the drug companies and their reps and their names, but sometimes one doesn't have a choice. It makes me wish I had been more vocal and informed when I was in my 20s and 30s, I might have been able to help in some way. But it's not too late, everyone, we DO have voices, but if we don't use them, the government and the drug manufacturers will never hear us.
