My brother has been a pharmacist for over 30 years (he would have heart failure if he knew I was here getting pain medication online.) Anyway, I told him my mother in law was looking for some cheaper Tamoxifen than she is getting from her doctor and asked his opinion about drugs from overseas. Also, while I was the topic of online pharmacies, I asked him of his opinion of getting pain medication like Hydro and other opiates online.

Anyway, for what's it's worth following is his response to me. I just thought it was an interesting perspective from the other side of the table. He works for a major metropolitan hospital. In no way am I saying this is fact or anything, just thought you all might find it somewhat interesting. He actually used to get my parents meds every now and then, but this was the good old days - long time ago. I certainly don't plan to change anything I'm doing, just wanted to hear his opinion.

I guess the biggest rub against foreign drugs is that you have no guarantee of the quality. I know that stuff from Mexico is usually ok, but a few things are not as advertised. What I am saying is that there is no way of really knowing. I suspect that the stuff from Canada is pretty well controlled, I know it is easy to find on the internet. Some of the stuff is actually made by the same company at a foreign plant. Some of the larger manufacturers have a division in Europe and the US. In fact, I would not be surprised if some of the tablets had the same markings and were made here and imported to Canada, Not much of an answer I know, but I would look to Canada first.

RE: the hydrocodone. I think it will not be too long before controlled substances will not be able to be filled via internet. There is no way to keep a person from getting hydrocodone from 10 different companies, all at the same time. The hydrocodone is quite habit forming, the next step up would be oxycontin, and then, heroine. In my opinion very risky.
