Since there is such a stigma attached to painkillers, mum is the word for me.

My own Dr. doesn't understand and makes me feel cheap and embarassed when asking for painkillers for my chronic painful condition.

So, of course, thanks to the stigma started and maintained by the medical community regarding painkillers, of course I do not tell family and friends.

I agree with Candice who states "some things should just be personal."

(Funny to think how antidepressants had that same stigma about 20 years ago, huh?)
