You know, I have been reading this and have been an ever increasing state of panic...What exactly does the prescription monitoring program do? I live in Washington state, and I know the computers are linked to insurance, but I've never heard of the state checking up. The reason I ask, is that several years ago I did something pretty bad concerinig a prescription, and got caught. I paid my dues beleive me, but I wonder if there is a "red flag" on my name now? I have never had any problems filling prescriptions, and no pharmacy has ever said anything to me, but I wonder if that info is in the computer somewhere. Im also wondering if they could tell my current doctor about that incident. Maybe thats why he's been acting funny lately. Im scared now.
