Hi, ISB~ Try to write to your physician in California and ask him if he knows of someone in your area, or if he will write a letter for you, explaining your situation, your testing background, and the stable level of pain meds ordered for you. I don't know where you are in Oregon, but I do know a neurologist in Bend, Oregon, whom I used to work for in California. His name is Paul Eckman, and he just may still be in practice. If he's not, call his home! Tell him that his transcriptionist from 30 years ago (Elizabeth) referred you to him for help or advice. And may I make a suggestion about the Stadol? It is very strong. I diluted it at one part Stadol to four parts of saline solution (use the *plain* saline solution one gets for contact lenses). IOW, if you have a syringe, draw up one cc of Stadol, put it into another bottle, then add four cc of saline. Using it straight out of the bottle it is in will likely make you quite dizzy, nauseated, sweaty, and your breathing might get a little funny. All the best to you. |
