Re: Transferring Rx from an OP to regular pharmacy???

Hi Scotti
I had to transfer a script a while back. Fortunately for me, Walmart accepted it, without any hassle. BUT...when a DR from Arizone tried calling a script in over the phone, I chose walgreen for apparent reasons...WOW what a mistake. This pharmacist wanted to challenge this OP Dr and he ethics ect ect ect...of course, I immeidately DROPPED the entire issue, as I didnt want to lose this awesome OP at the time and risk anything for anyone else, including myself. I wont tell you I was happy about the loss of intial cash...but it was worth "letting it go", for the sake of NOT drawing unwanted attnetion to all involved. Luckily the pharmacist was pleased, once I went along with HIS plan...(cancelling the entire transaction) well, letting him think I cancelled.
I believe my state allows transfers, as the walmart was more then happy to call and get my remaining fills, but as I said the 2nd pharmacist was 100% against this OP, and found it to be crooked (thats HIS opinion) he took it upon himself and his personal values and refused to do anything the Dr asked...and as I said for the sake of all involved, I did what He wanted...(or so he thought)
and of course, my last piece of info...Never use your insurance, if possible. Not worth the chaos it can cause.
sorry to repeat any of the same info others gave you...
but I think its important we share the negative as well as the positive experiences...
though it sucks losing money, sometimes its best when looking beyond the "NOW"
wish you the best..
Jessica
