Re: Transferring Rx from an OP to regular pharmacy???

Well, I would personally give it a try. If you have used the same pharmacy for a long time and they know you, what's the harm in asking the pharmacist how he feels about this? Just be honest and tell him exactly what you stated in your post. It's not like you've done anything dishonest or are trying to scam them!

I understand completely. Why pay $115 or so out-of-pocket especially if you have a $5 co-pay?

I mean, come on, the worst he/she can say is "NO"!

I remember last year when I had come back home to Colorado after working in a small town in Montana. I had two empty bottles with the words "one refill" on them. One was for cough syrup w/codeine & the other for an antibiotic. I took them to my pharmacist here at home (and this is a very large chain) and asked if he would refill them. I had nothing but the empty bottles. He tried to call the pharmacy in Montana, but please, it was the only one in town, and their hours were 10-5 Mondays thru Fridays. No answering machine

He was kind enough to give me the benefit of the doubt and fill both, so ya' never know!!
