Re: Carrying meds and airport security

I was reading on another board that you are no longer able to carry a cigarette lighter on a plane, even if it is checked baggage? I wonder if that is true

It's true...no more cigarette lighters on board any flights, including in your checked in baggage. I don't know if it has gone into effect yet, but I do know and have read that the company that manufacture's Zippo lighters is fighting this.

As far as getting thru security with your meds, no one should have any problems. In fact all of the airlines are recommending that you carry your meds in your "carry on" luggage, in case the rest of of your stuff gets lost. These security guys don't care what kind of meds that you are carrying. They are looking for far more dangerous stuff, like bombs.
