Daeshay.....If they do say no, and you need a lawyer....Go to Legal Aid, and they will do it. It will be free to you. That is what it took to get mine. He didn't charge me anything, but if you want to, you can give them a small amount when you get your "settlement" That is what they call all the back pay, when they put you off for months and months. Just please don't give up. You WILL fell like it at times, but keep on fighting. I forgot about the AFDC. Yeah, you could get that for the kids......Good Luck
